Established in 1999 through an Ordinance [XXIV of 1999] by merging Training Institutes from 7 different Departments of the Govenrment of Punjab, as a Special Institution, Technical Educational & Vocational Training Institute was strengthened through an Act in 2010.

Gaps and Interventions
  • The New TEVTA Management (September 2019) in its initial 100 days identified the Gaps & its Interventions with its relevant Stakeholders.
  • The Stakeholders included NAVTTC, World Bank, Asian Development Bank & TVET Sector Support Program (TVET SSP) including European Union, the Norwegian & German Governments.
  • This has brought a Paradigm Shift from its Conventional System to a Modern Skill Ecosystem being henceforth implemented.
